    Abstract

  • An attempt has been made to prepare a detailed account on some rare and locally threatened medicinal plants of Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh. Due to over exploitation, these species are facing a serious threat to their existence in the district. In the present paper, 41 angiospermic rare and locally threatened plant species belonging to 40 genera and 28 families are reported. It has been suggested that these are locally threatened medicinal plants are in need of proper conservation and management plans before these are lost forever.
