This present paper pointed out the emerging crisis in the collection of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) by the local tribal communities in the tribal villages of the Kinwat block in the Nanded district of the Marathwada region of the Maharashtra State. The findings of this study are based on the field survey and collection empirical data from the five tribal communities like, Kolam, Gond, Andh, Pardhan and Bhil. The study documented different types of emerging issues and crisis which are posing major threats on the way of collecting NTFPs. Further, this study noticed the crisis of less income share of NTFPs in the household of the family, walking far distance to collect NTFPs and faces challenges to access and harvest NTFPs from the forest. On the basis of these issues, study tried to point out the causes associated with the emerging crisis in the collection of NTFPs are forest fires, deforestation, natural calamities, climate change and its impacts on forest products and developmental activities which are posing major pressures on the collection of forest resources. As result, local tribal people are getting less resource and have to walk more distance for collection of NTFPs.
