    Abstract

  • The present communication deals with the occurrence of two insect defoliators, Dasychira  grotei Moore and Dasychira  mendosa Hubner (Lepidoptera : Lymantriidae) in poplar, Populus deltoides Bartr. ex Marsh (family Salicaceae)  recorded in nursery stage at this Institute. The pest profiles of these insect pests have been described.
